Flash of Red

Driving by the woodpile across from Flanders Farm in Arkport, the artist sees a flash of color.  He stops, eyes the woodpile, and realizes it is a cardinal catching a moment's rest. Because it has also caught his imagination, he paints "Flash of Red."
